As many of you know we currently have an exhibition heading various places around the country entitled 'Behind the Mask'.
The exhibition aims to highlight the brain tumour cause and show those who visit it many aspects of the brain tumour journey. From the 'what is a brain tumour?' to stories from survivors, celebrities and sweeties like Fifi!
Made up of around 15 (and increasing weekly!) decorated radiotherapy masks the exhibition also aims to help patients turn their experiences with their own masks into something positive and, to also highlight to radiographers how patients feel when being fitted for and using their mask.
The exhibition is currently in Liverpool and next firm plans are for November 2010 when it will be at the House of Commons.
Ideally we would like to have the exhibition on display at least 1 week a month until then and would really like your thoughts on the following areas:
Do you know any of these places well enough to suggest a venue? Would you like to help if we come to any of the above places, or, do you have any ideas for other locations you think might benefit from the mask exhibition?
We would love to get some thoughts and ideas from you guys, and, just because we hope to 'end' on a high in November doesn't mean we will be packing the display up for good. The idea is that, for those happy to keep their mask in the display on a more permanent basis, we will use 'Behind the Mask' as an awareness tool not just in the UK but across the globe too.
So, now it's over to you for ideas on venues and any suggestions you might have about what we should or shouldn't include in the exhibition.
Thanks in advance for your help
